What is a private plan change?
The Resource Management Act 1991 (RMA) allows anyone to seek changes to district or regional plans through a request for a private plan change. Requests for private plan changes enable innovative proposals to be tested through the RMA process, and allow applicants to initiate change without waiting for a plan review.

Is this a QLDC initiative?
No this is a private proposal.  The plan change request has now been lodged with the council and is being considered.

Who is promoting this plan change?
The existing eight landowners at the southern edge of Arrowtown.

What input can I have?
You may provide feedback and comments through the website, or by fax or letter.  Alternatively you can call us to arrange a meeting.  There will be an opportunity for submissions to be made once the request is notified by the QLDC.
